The Day the Earth Stood Still

When I think of the upcoming remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still, I think of Al Gore. I know it’s a stretch, but go with me on this. It appears, at least up to this point, that the message of the film has something to do with the way humans have treated the planet Earth. And the fact that we have not been so nice to the ole’ planet is the reason that Klaatu, played by Keanu Reeves, has come from outer space to threaten us all with is giant orbs of destruction. It is the type of epic, global disaster movie that would give Al Gore the tingles...
