FILM REVIEW: Rosamund Pike's new movie "I Care A Lot" has just been released on streaming. Peter Dinklage, Eiza González, Chris Messina, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Macon Blair, Alicia Witt and the wonderful Dianne Wiest lend support in this dark comedy thriller. "There’s something to writer/director J Blakeson’s vision that feels like Steven Soderbergh’s sensibilities mixed with the Coen Brothers wild narrative swings." More at The Film Experience.
Rush Limbaugh was bad. Anita Bryant was worse. LGBTQ Americans of my generation remember Anita Bryant with nausea in the pit of our stomachs. She was already a national celebrity, being a former beauty queen and recording artist, when in 1977 she led a fight against a Florida anti-discrimination ordinance. Her efforts garnered a win by a wide majority and technically began the fusion of anti-gay religious beliefs and homophobic propaganda for political purposes. More at Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters.
Neil Patrick Harris talks about how he and his family recovered from Covid and how exciting is was to film his new TV series, “It’s a Sin.” Harris also shares how his 10-year old twins are back at school for in-person learning, he is “free” from them being at home 24/7! More at Greg In Hollywood.
Popular novelist Rick R Reed's Lambda Literary Award finalist, BLUE UMBRELLA SKY, is now out in audiobook! The story is about Milt Grabaur who left his life, home, and teaching career in Ohio to start anew. The Summer Winds trailer park in Palm Springs, butted up against the San Jacinto mountain range, seems the perfect place to forget the pain of nursing his beloved husband through Alzheimer's and seeing him off on his final passage. Billy Blue is a sexy California surfer type who once dreamed of being a singer but now works at Trader Joe's and lives in his own trailer at Summer Winds. He's focused on recovery from the alcoholism that put his dreams on hold. When his new neighbor moves in, Billy falls for the gray-eyed man. More at Rick R Reed.

Nor does he have a law degree, or a degree in public health or public policy, or a degree in religious studies or religious administration. More at The New Civil Rights Movement.
Amy Cooper, aka Central Park Karen, has her charges dropped after using her white privilege and the correct trigger words to almost ensnare an innocent Black man into a possible tangled web of more untold police drama. Central Park Karen is one of many people that BBQ Beckies and Poolside Pamelas have inspired. That foolishness needs to end, too. More at Keith Price.
Before she was penning hits left, right and centre for the likes of Kylie Minogue, S Club, Britney Spears, Will Young and Rachel Stevens, Cathy Dennis was a bonafide pop star in her own right. Her career began unassumingly enough as a featured artist on dance-rap group D'Mob's single - but that was more than enough to bring her rather charming style to the attention of the masses. More at On This Day In Pop.
Pennsylvania State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta announced on Tuesday evening his candidacy to run for U.S. Senate, setting himself out on a path that, if elected, would make him the first openly gay Black senator. More at The Randy Report.
