Police arrest 5 people for anti-gay assault in Portland, Oregon

"A police spokeswoman in Portland, Oregon says five people have been arrested in connection with a Thursday night assault. Spokeswoman Mary Wheat said Friday that the victim told investigators he was attacked by a group of people he knew who used anti-gay slurs while beating him," reports Associated Press. "The five were booked into the Multnomah County Jail for investigation of first-degree kidnapping and intimidation, second-degree robbery and third-degree assault."
