New Jersey Senate prepares to vote on gay marriage this week

ABC reports:
The New Jersey State Senate will take up a gay marriage bill this week, and the outcome is far from certain. The Judiciary Committee is set to vote Monday, and the full Senate could vote Thursday. Gay couples are planning to testify about shortcomings in the state's 2006 civil union law. In general, the bill has more support from Democrats than Republicans. The Assembly has yet to consider the measure. The clock is ticking, since outgoing Governor Jon Corzine supports the bill, while Governor-elect Chris Christie opposes it.
