A gay pub in the UK has set up reporting boxes where drinkers can anonymously report homophobic attacks.
UK Pink News reports:
(UK) A gay pub in Shoreditch, east London, has set up reporting boxes where drinkers can anonymously report homophobic attacks. The Joiners Inn is on Hackney Road, where a number of homophobic incidents have been reported in the last few months.
There have been claims of youths harassing drinkers, while earlier in the summer, the George and Dragon pub, another gay pub on Hackney Road, was reportedly surrounded by around 20 youths who tried to storm the pub and attacked smokers in the street.
The idea of the reporting boxes was unveiled at a community meeting last Wednesday that was set up to address the problem.
