Cleveland will host 2014 Gay Games

Cleveland has been selected to host the 2014 Gay Games, which are expected to attract 12,000 participants in 30 sports over eight days.

WTOL reports:
Cleveland was selected Tuesday by the Federation of Gay Games over two other finalist cities, Boston and Washington, D.C. The selection was announced from Cologne, Germany, site of the 2010 games. Since the Gay Games were founded in 1982, they have been held twice in San Francisco and in New York; Chicago; Vancouver, British Columbia; Amsterdam and Sydney.
