(Albuquerque, New Mexico) An appeal was filed Wednesday by an Albuquerque photographer who was fined over $6,000 for refusing to take pictures of a lesbian couple's commitment ceremony. In April the state Human Rights Commission ruled that Elaine Huguenin, owner of Elaine Photography, violated the Human Rights Act by discriminating against Vanessa Willock and her partner on the basis of sexual orientation.
