CBC reports:Dance-pop diva Kylie Minogue was given the Order of the British Empire in London by Prince Charles on Thursday. The former Australian soap star turned international recording artist was honoured at a Buckingham Palace ceremony for her contribution to music.
"It is an incredible honour for me to receive this award," a beaming Minogue said. "It makes me feel both humble and proud to be recognized for doing a job that I love so much."
Earlier this year, France also honoured Minogue by naming her a Chevalier dans l'ordre des Arts et Lettres, one of the country's top cultural honours.
